Did You Know?
On July 27, the Austin American-Statesman had a very good article about converting to digital TV (which will happen on February 19, 2009). Here are some significant facts: * If you are on cable or satellite, you do not need to do anything for the switchover. * If you already have a digital TV, you do not need to do anything for the switchover. (Duh.) * If you have an analog TV that uses rabbit ears, or an antenna on your roof, you will need to buy a converter box. Exception: Your analog TV may actually have a digital tuner or a manual switch that switches to digital reception. * Digital TV (DTV) is not the same thing as High Definition TV (HDTV). If you have an HDTV, you have a digial TV. For more information, see Article
