Senior University Georgetown can use your time and talents in the following ways:
Classes and Lectures:
Share your knowledge as an instructor.
Be a classroom monitor.
Volunteer to find and invite teachers and lecturers.
Work with others to determine future programming for Senior University.
Facilities:
Help set up physical room arrangements and coffee service.
Help load and unload audio visual equipment and set up.
Design or set up signage for classes.
Work with the Program Team to determine class set up and audio visual needs.
Marketing/Publicity:
Help with website, newsletter, and printed material design.
Work to publicize Senior University to the community through various media.
Write press releases, etc.
Help raise the awareness of Senior University in the local community.
Social Events:
Plan and host thank you socials for instructors, lecturers and other volunteers.
Provide a host location for special Senior University events.
Serve as greeters at semester classes.
Office Assistance:
Help process registration forms.
Prepare name tags for students each semester.
Help tabulate end-of-semester evaluations.
Assist in keeping members' email addresses current.
Send reminders when memberships are about to expire.
