Curriculum Committee

 

This committee is responsible for planning classes and lectures for each of Senior University Georgetown's semesters and for overseeing the implementation of the semester plan.  This committee is also responsible to recruit and retain faculty.

Lectures Committee

 

This committee is responsible for developing the Free and Open to the Public Lecture Series and Forums.

 Facilities Committee

 

This committee is responsible for acquiring facilities required for all Senior University events except Board meetings.

 Travel Liaison

 

This person is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the travel events plans.

Marketing/Publicity Committee

 

This committee is responsible for developing and implementing plans to attract members to Senior University, publicize Senior University offerings, and enhance Senior University Georgetown's image as a valued asset to the Georgetown community.

Social Activities Committee

 

The committee is responsible for planning Senior University social events and overseeing implementation of those plans. Social events include activities such as coffee at semester classes, membership socials, and recognition events for faculty and volunteers.

Nominating Committee

 

The committee is responsible for maintaining a list of potential candidates for Board membership and making recommendations prior to the beginning of each calendar year for candidates to fill the positions for expiring and uncompleted terms. This committee is also responsible for ensuring board membership criteria are current and relevant.

 Policy, Process, Procedures and Bylaws Committee

 

This committee is responsible for updating policies and procedures. This committee is also responsible for a yearly review of the bylaws.

Volunteer Members Committee

 

This committeeis responsible for recruiting and implanting volunteer duties.

Webmaster

 

The webmaster is responsible for maintaining and updating the Senior University web site.
